How do I unlock a Subscriber's account?

An account can be locked for two reasons. The first and most common would be locked password. The second would be locked secret questions. To unlock an account search for the account using either the Locked Passwords or Locked Secret Questions quick links on the User Console Home page. You can also search for the account in the Subscriber Manager.

  • Click on the Subscriber's user ID which will bring you to the online info section of their profile.
  • For locked passwords click the Unlock button. This will unlock the password and they can try again.
  • For locked secret questions click the Reset button. The will clear the secret questions and the subscriber will need to recreate them upon their next successful login
Tip: If a subscriber has locked their account they have most likely forgotten their password and it would be best to reset the password and have them create a new one. Click here to learn more about resetting a password.
